Suh Art Studio
Dacxilia Suleyma Deras, born in Metapán, Santa Ana, El Salvador, Central America, is a multifaceted visual artist, poet, book editor and photography enthusiast. She has produced her own podcasts and poetry videos. She has published five of her books and participated in anthologies with other writers. Her paintings have been exhibited in her native country and the United States. She graduated with a degree in Public Accounting from the University of El Salvador. After that, she studied independently to delve into painting, music, singing, voice-over, and publishing books in Spanish. In the latter, she obtained a Random Penguin Random House credential. She recently completed her studies as an Art Therapy Instructor, and also obtained her credential as a Family Development Coach from the University of Connecticut. She currently works as an accredited Family Development Coach at a High School in the city of Queens, where she helps students develop life skills and improve their Social Emotional Learning. She has established her art studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. In parallel, she has made efforts to found her own independent publishing project Golden Empire Editions Multimedia. She is a nature lover, believes in the legacy and strength of her ancestors and is fond of neuroscience and quantum mechanics. She believes in the power of energies and connections as well as in the art of manifestation and meditation.
